Yes. I offer lessons in person in Dorset and online worldwide, so you can learn wherever you are.

All levels are welcome, from complete beginners through to advanced players. Lessons are tailored to where you are now and where you want to go.

Start with short, structured lessons that graduate you from one lesson to the next. My lessons will create a progressive path makes learning the guitar motivating and fun!

Yes, I recommend having a guitar available for your lessons so you can play along and put things into practice straight away. If you don’t have one yet, don’t worry — I can suggest some good options depending on your budget and what you’d like to play.

Yes. You can join online lessons using a phone, tablet or computer. For the best experience, I recommend using a larger screen where possible, but a phone or tablet is absolutely fine to get started.

I use Google Meet for online lessons. You don’t need to download any complicated software — you can join using a web browser on your computer, tablet or phone. I’ll send you a link before your lesson.
You don’t need a Google account to join a lesson, although you may be asked to enter your name and request access before I let you in.

Definitely. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you get in touch. Tell me where you’re at and what you’re struggling with, and we can work out the best place to start.

Absolutely. If you have a particular problem, song, technique or goal you want help with, we can focus the session around that.

That depends on you. Whether you’re struggling to improvise, stuck playing the same ideas, unsure what to practise, or simply want to become a more expressive player, we’ll focus on what will move your playing forward.

Yes. If you’re working towards a graded exam, I can help you prepare for it step by step, while making sure you’re developing as a well-rounded guitarist rather than simply learning to pass the exam.

Lessons are available in 30, 45 or 60-minute sessions.

No. I use whatever approach makes the most sense for you, including TAB, notation, diagrams, demonstrations and practical playing.

Yes. You’ll have access to your own Google Drive folder with resources from your lessons, giving you something clear to work on between sessions.
